My family moved to NC after my father retired from the military. I grew up in Cary, graduating from Cary Sr High and appreciate the solid educational foundation that was provided to me by WCPSS. This foundation gave me the opportunity to excel as a businesswoman working with people from all over the world.
I have been a resident in District 4 for over 15 years, where my husband and I are raising our three children who attend public school. I want my children and all WCPSS students to have the same opportunity that I had; to receive quality, unbiased education that will give them a foundation for success in their future careers.
But the school board has not provided this foundation, but instead made agenda-driven curriculum choices, policies discouraging parental involvement, and have been irresponsible with their budget choices. As your school board representative, I will advocate for all our children and make the WCPSS the choice for quality education in Wake County.
